Welcome to the Permaculture Research Institute of Saskatchewan. The Institute exists to further the advancement of permaculture in the province of Saskatchewan,by facilitating communication between permaculture practitioners in the province,by organizing training for people interested in permaculture, and by giving people the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with permaculture practices. If you are interested in learning more about permaculture and, specifically, what is happening within the province of Saskatchewan, please join the Permaculture Research Institute of Saskatchewan. | Guess what! We really want to have a full workshop for Doug, since he’s coming all the way from Mexico,so we are introducing a bring-a-friend promotion. Bring a friend along and you will get an additional $50 off registration. You and a friend can register together and bring each other along –you will each get $50 off. We have also extended the early bird to May 15th,so you and a friend could attend this course for just $400,and we will feed you –it just doesn’t get any better than that, does it? If you are interested in registering for the Soil Food Web course coming up in June, please download, fill in the registration form, and send it to the address listed on the form, along with a cheque. A few months ago,we set out schedules for monthly meetings. We picked April 20 thinking it would be a good way to kick off the weekend of Earth Day;however, many other organizations have thought the same thing. We are noticing many events happening this weekend and would like our members to be able to attend those events as they are important. As a result, our monthly potluck scheduled for April 20 has been rescheduled to take place on Friday,May 4th. It will still be at the Unitarian Centre (213 2nd Street East) and we will start at about 6:00 PM,and Ken will still be there to talk about his Australia trips. Things will be exactly the same, just two weeks later. Our next monthly meeting will be Friday,March 30th at the Unitarian Centre (213 2nd St East). For this month’s meeting,we thought we’d cut loose and hold it in the format of a “coffee house.” There seem to be a lot of artistic and talented types out there,so let’s have a little fun! If a few of you are into percussion &rhythm, bring along what you have and maybe we can do some drumming as well. We will have the doors open at 6:00 PM to set up for the pot luck supper. After we eat, clean up,and rearrange seating,we will commence with the entertainment. For those of you who plan ahead, our April meeting is scheduled for Friday,April 20th,the weekend of Earth Day. Hey everyone,we have someone who is interested in learning about permaculture and is coming to our Feb 18 workshop all the way from Yorkton!
